As being reported by Orlando Theme Park News, Theme Park Tourist, and other media outlets, the Rock “N” Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will be closing down on October 27th for a refurbishment and will not reopen until November 10, 2016. Along with the attraction itself, Disney will also be closing off access to the entire courtyard outside the attraction. Signs will be posted outside the courtyard alerting guests the the refurbishment/closure.
Remember, in August 2016 Disney removed all Roller Coaster Aerosmith-branded merchandise. Now just a few months later comes this refurbishment closure. Different from typical refurbishments when the attraction is closed, Disney has chosen to close off the entire courtyard.
Could this be the end of Aerosmith and the Rock “N” Roller Coaster as we know it?
While Disney remains silent on the issue, this refurbishment does come only a couple of months after the branded merchandise was removed, however a 2 week closure would be a very short time frame to do a complete overhaul of the attraction.
Only time will tell and we’ll all be anxious to see what remains when the attraction reopens on November 10th!
How do you feel about this, and what changes (if any) do you think Disney will be making during the refurbishment?
