We hope you and are ready for the arrival of Mardi GrasTM to her new home in Port Canaveral, FL on Friday, June 4, 2021!
Upon Mardi Gras’ arrival she will be flying the Bahamian flag to designate the new ship registry for the first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) ship to operate in North America.
Being that the Bahamas will be a frequent destination for Mardi Gras, the move to the Bahamas Maritime Authority made business sense for a number of reasons, which includes having a ship powered by this clean fuel technology and bringing this new level of environmental sustainability to the many ports in the Caribbean and the Bahamas that your clients and our crew will be visiting.
Mardi Gras has been the most anticipated ship in the cruise industry for more than a year as her arrival and inaugural sailing have been delayed due to the extended pause in cruise operations from U.S. ports.
As the cruise industry continues to work with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we are hopeful of our return to sail.
Mardi Gras will depart from Barcelona on May 21, 2021 to start her transatlantic sailing to Port Canaveral to get her ready to sail.
Prior to her inaugural sailing from Port Canaveral, we will continue to bring crew members on board to train them on new equipment, technology, and procedures, and get Mardi Gras ready to take your clients on a Carnival cruise vacation they won’t forget!
We can’t wait to welcome all of our clients onboard.
There’s a LOT to see in our Beautiful World.
