It has been quite a while since the last time we had the chance to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This once-dying theme park is finally receiving the attention it deserves, and that’s clearly evident by the number of temporary walls installed all around the park. Unfortunately, most of these projects are currently taking place in areas not clearly visible from Guest areas, making it difficult to check on the progress that has been made so far. That said, there’s still plenty to see.

A thunderstorm had just left the area:

It looks like one of the two palm trees near The Darkroom was recently removed:

Two palm trees are still present across the street, near Mickey’s of Hollywood:

The two new towers in the Center Stage area of the park still look very out of place:

The fact that they have two completely different color schemes doesn’t help:

The stage for the Star Wars show was covered due to the rain:

This large construction is used as part of the park’s new nighttime spectacular:

The Great Movie Ride still has one of the most beautiful facades:

The stand-by sign has been covered:

Another new addition used as a projection surface for the new fireworks show:

It’s time to walk around Echo Lake:

A new sign now advertises the new Echo Lake Eats:

Gertie had smoke coming out from only one of its nostrils:

Only a five-minute wait to meet Olaf in the new Celebrity Spotlight character greeting location:
