For those of you looking for additional day trips during your Orlando stay, here’s a new option available as reported by The Orlando Sentinel!
Orlando’s Premium Outlet malls are launching a free shuttle service from area hotels, the centers’ parent company announced.
Simon property group is pairing with Mears Transportation for the service that connects to 38 hotels in the tourist corridor.
Tour buses have shuttled passengers between hotels, tourist attractions and shopping centers for years, but that work has mostly been left up to private group.
The buses will pick customers up between 9:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. and will drop them back off at their hotels between 3:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
The shuttles can carry up to 50 passengers and includes free wireless internet. Hotel guest must reserve a seat through mallservice.mearstransportation.com.
“It is important for us to be able to offer convenient access to the best of Orlando,” said Brian Comes, general manager at Hyatt Regency Orlando in a statement. “The new Orlando Premium Outlets Hotel Shuttle allows us to do just that, providing convenient, nonstop transportation from the hotel to this unique shopping destination.”
The I-Ride Trolley, run by the I-Drive Business Improvement District, also runs a shuttle service that runs essentially from the Orlando International Premium Outlet Mall the length of I-Drive to Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets.
The I-Ride Trolley does cost $2 for a single trip or $5 a day
*Note: The Swan & Dolphin Hotels at The Walt Disney World Resort are currently the only Disney Resort Hotels on the list, so if staying on site at Disney, you would need to use Disney transportation to get to one of these hotels first.
