When visiting the Disneyland Resort in California most visitors fly in from many other locations across the United States.
There are two main airports you can fly into near the Anaheim area.
The largest if Los Angeles International Airport, also known as LAX. LAX is the largest airport in the Los Angeles County area and the primary airport for any international visitors. It is also easily found as a destination from most airports in the United States. It is however due to its size, the busiest airport in the area.
Next would the the John Wayne Airport (formerly known as the Orange County Airport). The John Wayne airport is a smaller airport but does as a large amount of traffic. It is reachable from most regional airports and smaller carriers as well as many larger international airports. The John Wayne airport is also the closest airport to the Disneyland Resort (approximately 30 minutes in normal traffic) , thus giving you a shorter commute, and more time to enjoy your Disney Vacation!
Shuttles are also available from the airports for an additional fee.
3 additional choices for smaller airports, but not as close to the Disneyland Resort are Ontario International (ONT), Long Beach Airport (LGB) and Bob Hope Airport (BUR).
Our family has used both the John Wayne Airport and Ontario International Airport many times and can highly recommend the services at both of these airports.
Have A Magical Day!
