The Walt Disney World Resort Hotels – What and Where Are They?

The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida consists of 4 theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom), a dining, shopping and entertainment district (Disney Springs) and 27 resort hotels. The resort hotels are referred to by their price category (Value, Moderate, Deluxe, Deluxe Villas, Disney Vacation Club) and by their location on the property. The location is typically in reference to the theme park or property area that the resort hotel is near. The Walt Disney World Resort also has a specific theme for each resort hotel ranging from Modern/Contemporary to the Upstate New York Resorts of the 1880’s. The resort hotels classified as Disney Vacation Club Resorts, while mainly for Disney Vacation Club owners, Disney keeps 20% of the room inventory for non Disney Vacation Club owners, usually list at “Deluxe Villas”.
