On September 19, 2016, the great NearMap site was updated to show a current aerial view of some of the major cities in the United States, including Orlando.
Thanks to this update, we are able to get an up-close look at some of the areas that are currently under construction around Central Florida’s theme parks. As you will see, the progress that has been done in some locations is nothing short of amazing (this update only includes the Universal Orlando Resort). Enjoy!
At Universal Studios Florida there are currently three major construction projects going on:

Fast & Furious – Supercharged:
Notice the long tunnel similar to that found at Universal Studios Hollywood:
Finally, take a peek at the never ending Coca-Cola kiosk construction:
ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE
Over at Islands of Adventure we can finally see the “new” Incredible Hulk Coaster in all its glory:
Reign of Kong is also open:
VOLCANO BAY WATER PARK
Plenty of new structures have been built in the future Volcano Bay water park since the last update:

Notice the presence of two lazy rivers and multiple water slides originating from the volcano:
UNIVERSAL’S 6TH ON-SITE RESORT
Finally, work continues in the future site of Universal Orlando’s 6th hotel:
And that is all for now. Before concluding, we would like to thank again Nearmap for providing these excellent aerial images of Orlando’s theme parks. Click here to check out the previous aerial update.
